Runecrafting

Carve runes into stone and forge them into swords and armour.

Runes begin at the Inscription Table, where a Blank Runestone takes the pattern of a scroll, or of an engraving material for the four common runes. The Runeforge then sets the stone into a sword or a piece of armour. Every piece has three rune slots: the first for a common or rare rune, the second for a rare one, the third for a legendary rune.

The common runes, Astral Spark, Resonant Fracture, False Cap and Fungal Reprisal, come from materials. Bloodsteel and Stormcaller come from Rare Scrolls, and Stormward from the Legendary Scroll, found in the boss chests.

Rules

  • The second slot needs a tier 2 Runeforge and the legendary slot tier 3.
  • Sword runes only fit swords and armour runes only fit armour.
  • Enchantments are kept, and a filled rune slot cannot be emptied again.
