Universal Corruption
Strike a peaceful creature again and again, and it may turn into something larger, angrier and glowing red.
Version: 0.1.0-pre-alpha
Strike a peaceful creature again and again, and the Astral Sea starts to answer. Each hit in a row makes the change more likely, and from the second hit on red sparks warn you that something is happening.
The transformation takes the place of the blow that triggers it, so the creature never dies from it: it rises in its corrupted form, larger, glowing red and hostile. Purified Velberries undo it, and a cleansed creature keeps its colours and markings.
Rules
- Corrupted creatures are 15 percent larger, with 25 percent more health and damage and 10 percent more speed.
- They stay that way and do not despawn.
- Only melee hits count. Projectiles and the environment do not.
Exceptions
- Rift Fragments, Sanctum constructs and the Colossus cannot be corrupted.
- Lost and Wandering Spirits become Corrupted Spirits.
Examples
- Purified Velberries return a corrupted creature to its normal form.
