Version: 0.1.0-pre-alpha
Ashore a Rippleback plods along on four legs with the occasional small hop; in the water it turns quick and nimble. Let one sit still for a few seconds and watch: its colour seeps towards that of the ground beneath it, moss, stone or water, until it is easy to walk right past.
It has an old quarrel with spirits. When a Lost Spirit drifts too close, the Rippleback raises its plate and drives it off with a turquoise resonance wave. A sprinting player sends it diving for the nearest water. To breed them, offer Mist Reeds; they lay their eggs on calm water, and the tadpoles grow into young Ripplebacks.
