Totem of the Lost Friend

It is a small totem that remembers the animal it was bound to. As long as you carry it, a deadly blow does not kill your companion: it is torn away and lands safely at your side. The third time, the totem breaks.

There is a small chance to find one in the reward chests of the Hollow Sanctum and the Toad Prince. Bind it to your own wolf, cat, parrot, horse, donkey or mule. It also carries your friend for you: right-click the pet to store it, right-click the ground to call it back with its name, collar, armour and inventory intact. Combine a bound totem with an unbound one at a crafting table to restore a lost life.
