An Ashburst charges and hisses exactly like a creeper, so you have the same time to react. Its explosion breaks no blocks. It hurts and knocks back like a creeper's, sets everyone it hits on fire and leaves short-lived flames on the ground.
The flames go out on their own and never start next to something flammable. It shows up alone and rarely.
