Sunbacks rub their shells against Pale Stone and Avelite, and once in a long while a plate comes loose; a Sunback may also drop one when it dies. Each plate shows the cyan-white seams that glow on a living Sunback.
Four plates, two Keldite Ingots, an Astral Dust and a shield make a Resonance Shield. It stores the force of strong blocked hits, and after three it hurls everything around you back, a lifesaver when you are surrounded.
