A Sunback spends its days scratching at the ground and resting. Startle it, hit it or rush at it, and it pulls in its head, legs and tail and becomes a tight golden ball. Rolled up, it shrugs off most of the damage and barely moves when struck. It stays like that until the danger has been gone for a few seconds.

Under the open sky it sometimes lies down, spreads its plates and soaks up the astral light. Afterwards its seams glow brighter and it slowly heals. It also likes to rub its shell against Pale Stone or Avelite, and once in a long while a plate comes loose. Those plates are the heart of the Resonance Shield.
