Star Foxes live alone or in pairs and watch you from a distance with their tails curled around them. Rush towards one and it is gone; sneak, and you may get closer. An adult sometimes stalks small prey, ducks low and pounces, but never takes young, tamed or named animals.

Winning one over takes patience. Approach calmly and feed it Velberries, Amberfruit, Gildfruit or Sweet Berries, a few times over, and it becomes yours. A tamed fox sits or follows when you right-click it, can be healed with the same food and raises its ears and tails when enemies are near. It defends you with quick pounces.

A corrupted fox is darker and larger, with red tips and eyes, and pounces again and again. Its colour, name, owner and totem binding survive, and cleansing brings the old fox back.
