The Astral Sea
Raw Keldite

Item

Raw Keldite

Dark ore shot through with teal veins: the first metal the Astral Sea gives you, and the one you will never stop needing.

Version: 0.1.0-pre-alpha

Keldite runs through the stone of every biome, often in generous veins, and grows richer the deeper you dig. Freshly broken it looks almost black until the light catches its teal seams. For a newcomer it is the moment the dimension stops being a sightseeing trip and starts being a place to live.

Break it with an Astral Stone pickaxe or better; vanilla picks barely scratch it. Smelt or blast the raw ore into ingots, or press nine pieces into a Block of Raw Keldite if you want to haul a big haul home first.
