Above the pool of an oasis they circle in the open air, each on its own path, at its own height and pace, like slow sparks on invisible threads. Now and then one dips low over the water, and once in a while the whole school draws together in a Golden Convergence.

They cannot be fought and they never fight. To take one with you, scoop it up with a Keldite Bucket of Enchanted Astral Water; empty the bucket to set it free again. Eaten, a Spirit Fish gives you Night Vision, longer when it is cooked.
