The Astral Frost Ghast drifts slowly high above the open snow. Once it spots you, it watches for a moment and then begins to charge, and how it charges tells you what is coming. If its plates spread and snowflakes stream into its core, a Frost Orb follows: slow, heavy with frost, and something you can knock back like a ghast's fireball or catch on a shield. If a turquoise ring tightens around it, it fires an Astral Pulse: faster and weaker, with a push that only throws you if there is solid ground behind you, never off an island.

After each shot it rests for a few seconds, the moment to fight back. It never shoots without a clear line of sight, loses interest if you stay hidden or far away, and never breaks a block.

Attacks

  • Frost Orb

    2 s charge, 4 damage, frost build-up and brief Slowness. Can be knocked back; a shield blocks the frost.

  • Astral Pulse

    1.4 s charge, 2 damage and knockback, only with solid ground behind you. Range about 20 blocks.

  • Rests 4 to 6 s after each shot. Spots players within 28 blocks.
