Direwolves are larger and shaggier than any wolf you know, with fur hanging in long strands and eyes that glow in the dim light of the Astral Forest. They live in families, and the pups stay close to the adults as they roam between the tall trunks.

Like ordinary wolves they only attack when provoked. Tame one the same way as a wolf, with bones or with Astral Venison, the meat of its own forest; each piece has a chance to win it over. A tamed Direwolf sits, follows and fights at your side, and Golden Astral Venison heals it.
