Most of the time a Starhopper simply hops, sniffs the air and sits up to look around. Its wings stay hidden. Then something startles it, or a gap opens in front of it, and it crouches, springs high and unfolds two glowing membranes for a short glide.

This Wing Burst is never reckless. A Starhopper only jumps when it can see solid ground on the other side, never towards an open drop. It uses the trick to flee, to cross obstacles and, when a Spirit Storm rolls in, to reach shelter.
